All our products are manufactured from natural materials. We use natural leather, cotton fabrics, woollen fabrics and all materials are produced in the European Union and meet the EU requirements and standards for safety goods and comply with all applicable REACH requirements.
1) Natural Italian, Spanish and Dutch leather - chromium and aldehyde tanning (processing) used, NO formaldehyde, azo dyes, chromium VI, nickel and other metals and ingredients, forbidden from the European Union, because they are toxic in given quantities. All materials meet and comply with all applicable REACH requirements. REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. REACH stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances.
2) Natural vegetable tanned (processed) leather - vegetable substances and plants are used in this leather tanning. The fact that no chemicals are used in its processing makes it very appropriate for small kids or people with allergies. It is the best choice for everyone who aims using the most eco, natural and allergy friendly materials. Not colored is leather in the natural colors - white, off-white and ecru. These tones only result from the used vegetable tanning agents and their inherent color.
We have tested some European tanneries for vegetable tanned leather and finally we decided to work with Ecopell - a German leather producer. We are convinced that they are one of the most environmentally friendly leathers worldwide.
Quality safeguards confirm that Ecopell holds the highest standards regarding a responsible production process. Despite its undesputable quality and health safety, the leather is soft, durable, the color become lighter with time. Please find more information in the official site of Ecopell.
The processing of the vegetable tanned leather is much more time consuming, vegetable tanning agents are still in the state of research and development. These tanning substances offer many options but for the time being the costs are very high and unfortunately economically hardly to realize. This is why this leather is two - three times more expensive than the chemically tanned leather.
